Childrens Class
The children’s program combines kicking, punching, throwing, falling, joint locking, pressure points, meditation and weapon techniques into a beautiful and dynamic hard/soft system that is sure to meet your physical and mental goals on an individual basis. Classes are approximately forty-five minutes to one hour long. Each class begins with a series of stretching and conditioning exercises that are performed and designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles and joints. After the preliminary warm-up, basic hand strikes and kicking drills are executed, followed by falling techniques, joint-locking techniques, and forms practice. Weapons training, along with other specialized training, complete the daily workout for advanced students.
Most classes are scheduled by skill level - the beginning students train together and the advanced together. Also, class activities are modified when appropriate, such as in cold weather, when more warm-up is necessary. Chief Instructor Sa Bum Nim Darren Hart strives to train all students without injuries.
